Ralph asked me to post the following info for the time being regarding the August 2012 Raid:
Hi guys, I will sort out my/our proposal for a raid starting august 4th 2012 based on Len Beadell's tracks.
We being Greg, Herman and me (Ralph) along with our partners will discuss this while we are travelling the Connie Sue during september this year. I have noted the desire to go into the tropics and would consider a route to allow raiders to start in Alice springs or Perth.
The tracks we are considering include parts of the Anne Beadell, the Connie Sue, the Gunbarrel Hwy, the Gary Hwy west, across the Canning Stock route and along the Tallawana track.
Another alternative is to head east on the Gary highway and come out at Alice Springs.
This will all be discussed around many campfires and on CB radios while travelling the Beadell tracks in September this year
So to sum up (1) august 4th 2012 from Perth or (2) start from Alice and join us at warburton or (3) start at Coober Pedy and join us at Neale Junction. (4) definitely go North probably via Warburton (5) at Gary Junction go either west or east (6) finish somehere

This gives a lot to ponder when looking into the sparkling glow of camp fire.

Meanwhile we will enjoy Connie Sue, the Gunbarrell and the Anne Beadell this year.
